| The Apprentices Program
seeks to provide one year contract positions to young
adults 18 to 21 years old who have graduated from technical
secondary schools in neighboring communities, in order
to facilitate their entry into the workplace.
In 2008, 130 young people benefited from this educational program. Once they have
successfully completed the program, they can apply for full time jobs with Anglo American
Chile or one of our service suppliers.
This program was first implemented in Mantos Blancos
Division in 1993, and then was expanded to all of our
divisions.
