Community development

Our efforts in this
area focus on building a foundation for local and community
development. We do this through actions that maximize
opportunities for employment, offer training to our workers
and their families and foster entrepreneurship.
Our plans of action were established using SEAT, a rigorous
socio-economic management tool applied to all communities
neighboring Anglo American Chile operations. This tool
has enabled us to identify the most important community
needs and to construct efficient response mechanisms for
each case.
Our Community Development actions are in line with our
Principles
of Good Citizenship.
