Recognition

After just two years in operation, the Emerge Programme has received important recognition for its efforts. In 2007, the Programme was awarded the Bicentenary Seal by the President of Chile. This distinction is given to private-sector projects that make significant contributions to the country’s development.

In 2008, the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) bestowed Anglo American with the Good Corporate Citizen award for the Emerge Programme. This award is given to corporate social responsibility programmes that directly support the communities where companies are located, thereby stimulating the implementation of more and better initiatives of this type in Chile.
