SEAT (Socio-Economic Assessment Toolbox) is a socioeconomic management tool used by Anglo American Group companies.

It enables us to identify the most important problems in communities located near our operations and propose efficient responses to their development challenges.

The tool was designed in 2002 by the Anglo American Group in collaboration with the Environmental Resources Management (ERM) consulting firm.

In 2004, the Fundación Casa de la Paz applied SEAT in our five productive divisions, making our company the first in the Anglo American Group to implement the methodology across all productive units.
