I consider myself to
be a businessman and I like what I do. I’m passionate
about it and I relish overcoming new challenges and
improving my business. That's how I deal with the day-to-day
work of my company, Innovatronic, which provides information
technology services, mostly to the mining industry.
After graduating from the Universidad Católica
del Norte in 1988 with a degree in computer engineering,
I began working at the Mantos Blancos Division of Anglo
American Chile. It wasn’t until 2003 that I started
up this company, Innovatronic.
Today, thanks to the training I received through the
Emerge Programme, I am moving in the right direction
in terms of my plans for the future, which include expanding
the company so it can be one of the best information
technology providers for the mining industry. That also
means providing more jobs for people in the area. Just
as Anglo American is giving this opportunity to me,
I also want to make my contribution to society.
I think that an entrepreneur has to be persistent, strive
for excellence, be a good leader, confront new challenges
and never give up. I'd like to think that's how I am.
In my opinion, it is important that programmes like
Emerge can include more entrepreneurs, because through
our hard work we also make the country grow.
