Voluntary agreements in Chile
|

We have signed the following agreements in Chile in the area of Sustainable Development:
Chilean
Chapter of the World Business Council for Sustainable
Development (WBCSD)
Part of an extensive global network of more than
180 international companies committed to economic
growth, environmental balance and social advancement
in the countries in which they operate. Anglo American
Chile was co-founder of this network in 2004.
Clean Production Framework Agreement
The company signed this agreement with the Government
of Chile as a member of the Mining Council, a trade
organization that represents Chile’s major
mining companies. The agreement seeks to join forces
in the application of a preventive environmental
strategy for productive processes, services and
work organization.
Memberships
In addition to the above, the company is a member
of a number of Chilean entities concerned about
Sustainable Development. These include mainly mining
industry trade associations, safety associations
and instances of corporate social responsibility:
