Los Bronces Division

Los Bronces is located in the Metropolitan Region, 65 kilometers from Santiago and at 3,500 meters above sea level.

Los Bronces is an open pit copper and molybdenum mine. The ore extracted is crushed and transported in a ore slurry pipeline 56 km long to Las Tórtolas flotation plant, where copper and molybdenum concentrates are produced. The mine also produces cathodes.

In 2008 Los Bronces produced 235,792 tonnes of fine copper, including high purity cathodes and copper concentrate, as well as 2,578 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.

Los Bronces Division has approximately 1,712 workers, including company employees and external contractors for operations and projects.

The “Los Bronces Development Project” is currently in progress. This project aims to boost our production capacity. (See Projects )
